We're Back.. And Worse Than Ever. MEETING: 14th November

Hello one and all.
It's been a few months, the issue with being a student I suppose - all that exam stress and then the subsequent parties afterwards.

So, the next big meeting is 14th November 2010.
Starbucks, New Oxford St at 2pm.
We'll be upstairs, drinking copious amounts of coffee.

If you need any help, want a quick natter, fancy robbing a bank, leave me a comment, or contact me at my fanfiction.net profile.

Look forward to seeing you.
Holden.

MCM Expo: May 2010

Hello, one and all.

I've helped to set up the London fanfiction meetings, with great success. I'm sure that there are others across the country who have helped set up meetings ibn various reigions of the United Kingdom - and now Europe! Well, I want to go one step further. I want to get a whole bunch of Fanfiction writers to come and meet up for a big ol' happy time at the MCM Expo at the end of this month!

MCM, for the uneducated, is Movies, Comics and manga. Recently, games developers have started showcasing their games there. I saw early code of Assassins Creed II at the October one. I'm sure there's going to be other big games this year, as well as movie announcements and, of course, shedloads of Manga and Anime.

OK, so, to business. There are a lot of writers out there, whether in the proverbial closet or not. And I'm sure a lot of writers will see this. And it's fair to assume a lot of those writers will be travelling to the Expo. I know people from Yorkshire that travel down, such is the attraction. Now, what would happen if a massive bunch of writers were to meet together and...talk! Not only can you share writing ideas and come up with new plots to expand upon, but it's a great way to meet new people.

I propose a large meeting of writers on the grass square at about 2:00 PM on the Saturday of the Expo. If you don't know what I mean, search for ExCel Centre London on Google Maps. It's pretty obvious, and you'll see what I mean when you get there.

So, how many people are coming? Feel free to leave a comment below so we have a rough idea of what to expect. tickets are on sale now from the MCM website at the Expo website, and will be on sale during the day. You won't need a ticket to meet us, but you will need one to enter the Expo itself.

So, feel free to leave a comment. Let us know how many of you are coming, and we can plan accordingly.

Make sure you add the RSS link for this blog as well, for future updates!

Much Love, ScourgeOTG.

Meeting: 11th April

Hey faithful readers and writers.

April is upon us! Easter has been and gone, and it's time to get out of the house, run up and down the stairs and escalators on the underground and work off some of that chocolate.

So next meeting will be Sunday 11th April and held upstairs at Starbucks New Oxford St at 3.00pm. So same time, same place. If you need any help the wonderful Scourge has just opened the fanfiction hotline and we have many people to contact. Remember, Holden has her Blackberry; so emails are always answered.

Hopefully this post will be updated by the skilled fingers of Scourge, and a gorgeous map will be put on here to give you some directions...

See you all there.
Holden Caulfield.

Monday, March 22

Meeting: 28th March

Hello again, faithful fanfiction writers.

March draws to an end, and the sun is finally out; you know what that means? Time for frappuccino's in Starbucks... say at 2pm? Maybe the one on New Oxford St?

I'm glad you agree, so it's settled.

Next meeting shall be 28th of March, 2pm at Starbucks New Oxford St. The regulars will be upstairs, sitting around looking lovely, as always.

Though, for anyone new who's interested in coming, send me an email and give me some suggestions on how to make us easier to find, we're starting to worry that people can't make out who we are. Maybe a sign? Rayokarna could come and meet you? Should I bring a sparkly bag? Or Scourge should wear something obvious? Let me know, my contact details are at the side there - drop me a line.

If that doesn't work, why not phone the handy "Fanfiction Hotline"; and ask Scourge to send one of us on a journey to find you, most of us are willing to travel central London, we can come and meet you at Tottenham Court Rd Station, it's cool, don't panic if you get lost.

Remember, we're lovely people, and we're always looking to expand the group.
See you soon boys and girls,
Holden Caulfield.
